Professor Emerita Neill Miller

Professor Emerita Neill Miller served the students of Barry University for over 38 years. Following her passing in October of 2005, while obtaining the position of Assistant Dean of the School of Human Performance and Leisure Sciences, she was bestowed an Honorary Doctorate and the title of Professor Emerita by Barry University in the Scholl of Human performance and Leisure Sciences, a school she helped to establish. She was a mentor, role model, and advocate for students actively advancing student scholarship and degree completion.

The Professor Neill Miller Endowed Scholarship was established by her late husband’s estate, Thomas D. Miller. The scholarship exists to assist students who demonstrate that they have overcome academic challenges to achieve success in their program of study.
