Sister Loretta Mulry
Sister Loretta Mulry, IHM, was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 23, 1937. She received her B.A. from Marywood College, M.S. from Marquette University, and a Doctor of Education from Rutgers University.
A Sister of the Immaculate Heart of Mary for 36 years, she has lived in New York, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina. She taught high school and junior high for 20 years, and served as a department chair, director and coordinator. Before coming to Barry, she was academic dean of the ACE program at Marywood College in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Sister Loretta arrived at Barry University in 1991 to serve as dean of the School of Adult Education. In 2001, she resigned as dean and accepted a new role as Assistant Director of Web Education. Currently, Sister Loretta Mulry serves as the Marketing Assistant in the School of Professional and Career Education at Barry University.
In 2003, the Sister Loretta Mulry scholarship was established by friends and colleagues to honor Sister Loretta and it exist to provide financial assistance to students enrolled in the Barry University School of Adult and Continuing Education.
