Alumni of Tomorrow Scholarship

The Alumni of Tomorrow Scholarship is a one-year, nonrenewable scholarship. It was established in 2000 and is funded by proceeds from the Barry University License Plate. It was renamed the Alumni of Tomorrow Scholarship in 2011 to reflect its connection to the Barry University Student Alumni Association. The purpose of this award is to provide financial assistance to Barry University students who both meet the criteria set forth by the Scholarship Committee and demonstrate a strong commitment to the Barry University Alumni Association.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate, including, full-time undergraduate PACE students
  • Completed at least one semester of study at Barry University
  • Holds a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater
  • Demonstrates positive, motivational leadership skills
  • Submit an essay (250 words) highlighting applicant’s commitment to the Barry University Alumni Association

NOTE: Preference given to applicants who maintain an active membership with the Association and participate in Alumni Association events

Upon receipt of the award, recipient must:

  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater
  • Record evidence of extracurricular activities (i.e. participating as student volunteer at University events, regular attendance at Student Alumni Association meetings and/or events)
