Ambassador Jean M. Wilkowski Memorial Endowed Scholarship

The Ambassador Jean M. Wilkowski Memorial Endowed Scholarship was established to honor Ambassador Wilkowski’s exceptional accomplishments as a teacher of physical education, journalism and running the Barry College for Women’s fledgling public relations office. She was the first woman ambassador to an African Country and the first woman acting ambassador in Latin America.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be currently enrolled at or admitted to attend the University as a full-time undergraduate student in his/her sophomore, junior or senior year
  • Have a 3.0 or greater cumulative GPA
  • Demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Barry University Office of Financial Aid and based on the FAFSA form completion and review
  • Demonstrated involvement in community engagement and/or university leadership activities

NOTE: Preference will be given to students evidencing an intent to pursue a career in international relations.
